Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Event Manager to join our team at The HR Consultants. As an Event Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning and execution of events from start to finish. This full-time hybrid role offers the flexibility of working primarily in a remote environment, with opportunities for some on-site work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Lead the planning, organization, and execution of events, including conferences, meetings, and training sessions.
    • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment.
    • Oversee the procurement of necessary permits and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Logistics and Operations
    • Manage event budgets and financial tracking.
    • Supervise event staff and vendors, ensuring all elements are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
    • Provide on-site management and troubleshooting during events.
  • Client Relationships
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding and anticipating their needs.
    • Stay updated on industry trends to ensure innovative and forward-thinking event solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably on the agency side.
  • Experience of working internationally would be beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of event industry trends and best practices.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.
  • A relevant degree or certification in event management or a related field.
  • Relevant experience using the system Cvent.
