Job Description
Cavendish Maine is a highly successful and fast-growing importer and distributor of premium pet products to the independent and specialist pet trade. We are looking for an experienced account management and business development professional to join our team and manage an established customer base of high-quality customers across the South East region.

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of account management and sales experience, with a proven track record of opening new accounts, extending ranges, winning additional retail space and growing a sales territory. Key responsibilities will include building trusting relationships with pet shop owners, actively prospecting for new stocklists, providing training and education to retailers, and reporting against sales plans.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage an established customer base of high-quality customers across the South East region
  • Actively prospect for new stocklists by communicating and reinforcing the benefits of stocking the brands to retailers
  • Provide training and education to retailers, owners and sales assistants
  • Create eye-catching product displays using point of sale and promotional material effectively

Key Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in account management and sales
  • Proven track record of opening new accounts, extending ranges, winning additional retail space and growing a sales territory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What We Offer
A competitive basic salary of up to £45,000 p.a + bonus + hybrid company car.
