Job Description

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our proactive sales function as a Sales Executive for two of our hotels. You will work closely with the Sales Manager to develop and implement local marketing channels, including social media platforms, to drive new business and increase market share. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing local market trends and competitor activity to identify new business leads;
  • Developing customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the specific hotel/cluster;
  • Negotiating room rates/packages with corporate clients;
  • Preparing company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions;
  • Working within current business strategies to recognize potential opportunities;
  • Cooperating with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs;
  • Attending Sales events, as required;
  • Producing accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director and senior management; and
  • Answering customer queries in a prompt and professional manner.

Your salary for this position will be around $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A positive attitude and good communication skills;
  • A commitment to delivering a high level of customer service;
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations;
  • The ability to work under pressure and under own initiative;
  • Experience in a sales role with a proven track record to close a sale;
  • Knowledge of local market trends and competitor activity;
  • Possession of a valid driving license (if applicable); and
  • Demonstrated passion for sales and achieving targets and objectives.
