Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Engineer to join our Vehicle Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced composite components and assemblies that meet the highest standards of performance and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Principal and Senior Engineers to define project scope and deliverables, ensuring all requirements are met.
Proactively address faults, manufacturing queries, and other related departmental tasks.
Take ownership of key aspects of the Vehicle Design Vision, Goals, and Strategy to create a best-in-industry high-performance design team.
Contribute to Research and Development projects within the department.
Provide technical authority and support to project teams as required.
Deputise for Senior Engineers as needed and report back to peers and project groups.
Develop and maintain advanced and reliable design solutions with supporting calculations and unambiguous engineering drawings.
Requirements
Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to support the wider organisation.
Degree-level qualified in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, or other related engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within the motorsport industry.
Proactive approach to problem-solving, along with good attention to detail.
Good CAD skills, ideally with experience of NX, with training provided for conversion from other CAD systems.
Passion for engineering, innovation, and detailed design work.
