We are seeking a highly motivated Vocational Support Specialist to join our team in North Devon. As an integral part of our Talking Therapies Service, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to achieve their employment goals.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide tailored support and guidance to patients. This may involve helping them to remain in employment, return to work after a period of absence, or explore new career opportunities.

You will be responsible for establishing employment goals with patients, developing personalized action plans, and empowering them to make informed decisions about their working lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on vocational matters to patients, including resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, such as Jobcentre Plus and Work & Health Programme providers, to ensure seamless support for patients.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of service performance.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in employment advice or mental health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database packages.
