About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Hire Controller to join our client's team in a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and tool hire services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with repeat customers.
  2. Coordinating the hiring and returning of equipment to meet customer needs.
  3. Organizing transport for equipment and managing logistics to ensure timely delivery.
  4. Processing contracts and other paperwork using our IT system to maintain accurate records.
  5. Utilizing organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  6. Providing administrative support to the team, including filing and data entry.
  7. Responding to customer queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a Hire Controller or similar role, preferably within a plant and tool hire environment.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong telephone manner.
  3. A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and meeting customer expectations.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  5. Basic IT literacy and ability to use software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  6. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (if required).
