Clintar is looking to expand our team in our Landscape Maintenance division by hiring a Irrigation Technician with the knowledge and experience to manage a route within the GTA, York and Durham areas. This position is full time and all year round.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•Installation of irrigation projects, irrigation service and repairs, system openings and closings, low voltage lighting service and repairs and green roof maintenance and installation •Perform irrigation system spring start-ups, season adjustments and winterizations•Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system problems (replace sprinklers, fix leaks, etc.)•Test completed irrigation systems for proper functioning of valves and timers•Utilize hand and power tools, as well as perform hand trenching with a shovel•Work independently when performing service calls •Interact with customers to maintain their systems and answer any questions they may have in a professional manner •Plan, coordinate and maintain adequate part inventory in company vehicle•Ensure work is performed efficiently and in a timely manner •Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment and demonstrate hazard awareness•Participate in training sessions and be committed to ongoing learning (ongoing commitment to develop skills to become a Certified Irrigation Technician CIT)•Safely navigate company vehicle and maintain clean driving record•Punctuality and attendance are essential to the candidate’s success•Prepare time-sheets, service sheets and other daily paperwork as required

Requirements:
•2 to 5 years of experience as an Irrigation Service Technician •Extensive knowledge of irrigation products, specialized tools, troubleshooting and repair•Valid class “G” driver’s license, with a clean driving record and drivers abstract•Self motivated, eager to learn and a positive attitude•Willingness to learn and develop new skills to enhance job performance•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision•Physically fit to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time•Ability to effectively communicate in English, both oral and written•Some plumbing or copper soldering experience would be beneficial but not mandatory Benefits: •Competitive hourly wage is based on experience•Professional development and institutional training is fully compensated for upon successful completion of courses and exams •Great team environment
