Gatehouse Security Officer

At Fowler Welch, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Gatehouse Operative. This role is responsible for ensuring the secure movement of vehicles on and off site, while also carrying out specific tasks to maintain site security.
Key Responsibilities:- Vehicle Movement Control: Ensure all vehicles entering and exiting the site are correctly logged and accounted for.
- Temperature Checks: Conduct regular temperature checks on vehicles to prevent unauthorized removal of goods.
- Random Vehicle Searches: Conduct random searches of vehicles to detect any unauthorized goods or contraband.
- Site Security: Remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the site management team.
- Load Security: Ensure all dispatched loads are secure and ready for departure.
- Logistics Experience: Previous experience working in a logistics environment is desirable.
- Driving License: A full UK driving license is desirable.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Time Management: Ability to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurized environment.
- Self-Discipline: Self-disciplined and motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
