Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Savills Management Resources. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing visible security cover, handling enquiries and customer concerns, monitoring CCTV, and controlling contractors and deliveries to the Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular patrols of the Centre and Car Park, ensuring that any hazards are dealt with immediately.
- Implement instructions issued by the Security Supervisor or Facilities Manager in a timely manner, prioritizing the safety of the public.
- Manage emergencies and evacuations effectively, acting as the point of contact for tenants and emergency services to ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
- Accurately complete the daily occurrence book, record incidents in the Incident Log, and document accidents in the accident forms.
- Ensure contractors arriving on site adhere to requirements for contractor management and site H&S in line with the company policy and site procedures.
- Maintain a safe and pleasant environment by dealing with incidents in a timely manner, keeping all areas clear of hazards, obstructions, litter, spillages, etc.
- Deal with enquiries from the public professionally, greet visitors warmly, and answer telephone calls promptly.
- Comply with the Security Industry Act 2001 by holding a valid SIA Security License and, where necessary, a Public Space Surveillance License.
Requirements
- Experience in providing security services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.
- Hold a valid SIA Security License and CCTV license.
- Be willing to partake in further on-site training.
- Demonstrate a good level of customer service.
- Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
- Honest and reliable work ethic.
- Well-presented.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work in both internal and external environments.
- Flexible working approach to work patterns.
