Job Title: Procurement Systems Specialist

About the Role:

Croydon Council is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Systems Specialist to join our Strategic Procurement and Governance team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems that drive efficient and effective procurement practices across the council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance and value for money.
  • Develop and maintain the Purchase to Pay (P2P) system and management reporting to support legislative requirements.
  • Produce reports on procurement, purchasing, and contract management performance across the council at various levels.
  • Support the maintenance of procurement documents, templates, and guidance to ensure they remain current.
  • Manage a contract manager network to facilitate the sharing of best practices and issues.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of P2P and strategic procurement systems functionality.
  • Experience in public sector procurement and change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
