About the Role

The Croydon Council is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Systems Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Strategic Procurement and Governance team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems that ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective Procurement function for the Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Policy Development: Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures that align with the Council's strategic objectives.
  • System Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and maintain procurement systems, including Purchase to Pay (P2P) and e-tendering systems.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain reports to track procurement performance, including spend analysis and contract management metrics.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and policies, and provide guidance to stakeholders on procurement procedures.
  • Contract Management: Support the management of contracts, including contract monitoring and performance evaluation.
Requirements
  • Public Sector Procurement Experience: Proven experience in public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of procurement policies and procedures.
  • System Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of procurement systems, including P2P and e-tendering systems.
  • Change Management: Ability to manage change and implement new systems and processes.
  • Project Management: Experience in project management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
