About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Systems Specialist to join our team at Croydon Council. As a key member of our Strategic Procurement and Governance team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems that drive efficiency and effectiveness in our procurement function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance and value for money.
  • Develop and maintain the Purchase to Pay (P2P) system and management reporting to support legislative requirements.
  • Produce reports on procurement, purchasing, and contract management performance across the council at various levels.
  • Support the maintenance of procurement documents, templates, and guidance to ensure they remain current.
  • Manage a contract manager network to facilitate the sharing of best practices and issues.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of P2P and strategic procurement systems functionality.
  • Experience in public sector procurement.
  • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of change management and project management within the context of system development and implementation.
