Established over 20 years ago, our client is a leading manufacturer of a range of FMCG / consumer goods products. They are a global organization with a turnover of £6 billion and work with national-level accounts alongside independent businesses.
We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to join their team in overseeing existing accounts across Cambridgeshire. This role is an 18-month fixed-term contract.

This is a field-based role for candidates based in Cambridge or Bury St Edmunds.
About the Role
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients on a daily basis
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders across accounts
- Communicate product availability, support staff training, and product merchandising in-store
- Adopt a flexible approach to each customer account based on type of business and location
- Execute business development activities to maximize sales across designated territory
- Evaluate successes and highlight areas for improvement across territory using data and budget for support
- Work towards defined targets
Requirements
- 12+ months experience in a field sales role ideal
- A background in FMCG would be beneficial
- Candidates outside of sales background also considered; retail store managers or field-based merchandisers encouraged to apply
- Full UK driving license required
- Based in Cambridge or Bury St Edmunds

- Basic salary: circa £34,000 per annum
