Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute account plans to ensure Markel is a preferred insurer for all products and services.
  • Lead key relationships with brokers to implement strategic development plans and commitments.
  • Manage activity across business development, new business underwriting, and renewals to meet targets.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Strategic's to engage with partner brokers and provide results and feedback/action plans.
  • Understand Markel's risk appetite and product features, advantages, and benefits.
  • Demonstrate sales professionalism and discipline through timely and accurate activity reporting.
  • Utilize data to performance manage deal delivery and instigate corrective action as necessary.
  • Represent Markel as a credible and engaging partner within the industry.
