Job Title: Wholesale Cash & Carry Assistant Manager - Southampton

Job Summary: We are seeking an ambitious Wholesale Cash & Carry Assistant Manager for our Southampton location. This is an exciting and demanding role that requires flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Cash & Carry Manager: Ensure high levels of customer service are delivered, and assist in maximizing the profitability of the Cash & Carry through effective control of sales, margins, and overheads.

  • Day-to-Day Productivity: Assist in maintaining day-to-day productivity, creating a customer/sales-focused working environment, and encouraging the team to take pride in their work and deliver high levels of customer service.

  • Customer Knowledge: Have a high level of knowledge of customers and their requirements, researching new opportunities, and being aware of competitors to provide feedback to the site Manager and teams.

  • Stock Management: Support the Site Manager on stock checks within the Cash & Carry and ensure compliance with statutory law requirements.

  • Team Leadership: Promote a safe working environment, lead by example, and ensure all incidents, accidents, and near-miss details are reported through the central HR team.

Requirements: The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with a flair for making sound commercial customer decisions. They will have a strong understanding of the wholesale cash and carry industry and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
