Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Commissioning Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading commissioning activities of on-board electrical systems, instructing and mentoring less experienced team members, and ensuring that all work activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manner.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex electrical systems on board ships. You will be part of a dynamic team that delivers cutting-edge solutions to meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with other engineers and technicians to ensure that all commissioning activities are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commissioning activities of on-board electrical systems
  • Instruct and mentor less experienced team members
  • Evaluate technical design documentation and drawings to create test documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of work activities
  • Represent the company at contractors' sea trials and outworking requirements

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of electrical control and instrumentation systems, experience in commissioning complex power plants and high-voltage systems, and knowledge of test equipment and safety procedures. You will also need to hold a relevant qualification, such as an HNC in Electrical Engineering.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive, and access to additional benefits such as flexible working and an employee assistance programme.
