Commissioning Engineer Lead

Key Responsibilities:
• Deputise for the relevant Commissioning Project Leader as and when required, including supervision of personnel on shift.
• Instruct and mentor members of the team within your knowledge and competency.
• Responsible for researching, authorizing, and reviewing design and test documentations to the required standards.
• Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders, including Engineering, Royal Navy, MoD, and Build Operations, to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manner.
• Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure, and legislation.
• Represent the company on Factory Acceptance Tests and offsite test facilities, Contractors Sea Trials, and other outworking requirements (with scope for overseas travel).
Requirements:
• Experience leading complex Commissioning trials and experience of test groups.
• Degree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of AC and DC Electrical Generation and Power distribution systems.
• Experience working with Distribution Systems, C&I, and Electrical Testing.
• Knowledge of Instrumentation Systems, including Electrostatic Discharge, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications, PLCs & Fibre Optics.
• Detailed knowledge of Safety Control and Procedures in a high-risk environment.
