Clinical Health Care Practitioner

The NHS is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their team in Spennymoor. This is a full-time/part-time, permanent vacancy at an expanding general practice with 15,000 patients across two sites.
Job OverviewThis role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a large administration and secretarial team. The clinical team comprises of advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, HCAs, trainee nurse associates, pharmacists, and a phlebotomist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with minor illnesses, and seeing and advising people in respect of their continuing medical needs.
Maintaining registration with NMC or HCPC is essential.
Key responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients at the surgery or in their own home, directly admitting patients to secondary care in acute medical need, and offering extended hours appointments until 8 PM on Wednesdays and some Saturdays.
- Non-medical prescribing and advanced clinical skills are required.
- Experience of working in general practice or community teams would be an advantage.
