Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team at Durham County Council. As a key member of our Educational Psychology team, you will play a vital role in supporting the inclusion of children and young people. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our community.
The successful candidate will have a first degree in Psychology and a recognised post graduate doctorate qualification in Educational Psychology, with the ability to meet the requirements for registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). In return, we offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Our team provides a wide range of interventions and projects within schools and Early Years Settings, sitting within the broader context of a vibrant Specialist SEND and Inclusion Service.
In addition to your salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including 27 days holiday per year rising to 32 days after five years continuous local government service, option to purchase up to 10 additional days annual leave per year, and a contributory career average Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
