Academic Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Academic Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will provide academic support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. This will involve assisting teachers with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating with parents and external agencies, and supporting children with various behavioural and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing IEPs and providing targeted support to children with SEN.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external agencies to create a holistic approach to each child's education.
- Provide behaviour support to children with SEMH – social, emotional and mental health needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in behaviour support.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (desirable but not essential).
- A minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
