About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at EarthStream Global. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for selling mechatronic solutions to customers and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • External Orientation:
    • Identify and acquire new clients to expand our customer base.
    • Understand market and client needs, and know the client's objectives.
    • Know the unique selling points (USPs) of the competition and use this information to benefit the client.
    • Make the client Selection, as an organization, more appealing to the client.
    • Ensure the client considers Selection to be the optimal partner.
    • Sell mechatronic solutions and identify opportunities for system sales, aimed at value creation.
  • Execution:
    • Realize growth with mechatronic solutions.
    • Draft a SWOT analysis of the market, client, and competition.
    • Analyze the buying centers.
    • Develop an account plan with the Head of Selection UK, based on collected information, with stimulating targets and SMART objectives.
    • Successfully execute the account plans and discuss progress with the Head of Selection.
    • Integrate all information regarding conditions, risks, details, service, warranties, delivery time, and agreements in SAP, ERP, and CRM.
    • Correctly inform Internal Sales to make offers and record information in ERP/SAP.
    • Share acquired knowledge with the organization to raise the general level and offer the optimal technical solution.
    • Identify trends in the market and translate them into Selection solutions.
  • Organizational:
    • Identify opportunities to sell mechatronic systems.
    • Manage sales projects.
  • Technical:
    • Offer the client the correct technical mechatronic solution.
    • Provide technical support to fellow account managers.
  • General:
    • Take care of interfaces between departments.
    • Operate within the authority and procedures set forth by our client.
    • Fulfill Sales Team colleagues' responsibilities in case of absence.
    • Contribute to company growth and share success.
    • Contribute to a good work environment.
    • Positively contribute to a 100% customer satisfaction rate.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with a degree qualification and good knowledge of mechanics, mechatronics, or experience in R&D. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of our client's product portfolio.
  • Knowledge of machines and process auditing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechatronics and knows how and when to bring in experts.
  • Technical mathematical skills and can choose the right drive solution.
  • Specific knowledge of drive components, clutches/brakes, motors, gearboxes, linear motion, and their applications.

The ideal candidate should also have:

  • Excellent communication skills on different levels.
  • Understand the concept of active listening to discover the topics of the customers.
  • Can detect the pain points of the customers as well as the trends that the customers face.
  • Knows how to network and motivate people.
  • Knows how to pitch the product offerings to the customer and the market.
