Position Overview:

An exceptional opportunity is available to join the renowned Nidec Drives Sales Team in the UK.

As a Regional Sales Executive, you will implement strategic initiatives and methodologies to support our aspiration to lead the market in Variable Speed Drives across the UK and Ireland.

Your role will involve delivering technically sophisticated and commercially viable products and services, significantly enhancing value for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • To excel in this position, you will identify new business prospects within your designated sales area, leverage existing databases, and take charge of prospecting to boost sales.
  • You will be tasked with creating, executing, and refining a customer-focused business action plan aimed at increasing sales.
  • Collaboration with colleagues in Business Development, Inside Sales, and Applications will be essential to maximize opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • You will track new leads, cultivate relationships, and facilitate the quoting and procurement process.
  • Your contributions will include designing, producing, and delivering high-quality sales presentations and proposals, tailored for prospective clients from engineering to executive levels, in line with established guidelines.
  • Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and influencing factors in your area will be crucial to achieving ambitious sales targets.
  • You will negotiate all appointments and proposals with the ultimate goal of securing prospective business at a commercially acceptable rate.
  • Building, utilizing, and communicating with key internal and external stakeholders will be necessary to continuously enhance your understanding of our solutions and work with existing clients to maximize business opportunities.
  • This role requires you to prepare and present monthly reports for sales meetings, along with business and forecast data.
  • All sales activities must adhere to Control Techniques' and Nidec's ethical standards and trade compliance regulations.

Travel Expectations:

  • Regular travel within the UK, primarily within your sales territory.
  • Occasional travel within the EMEA region for meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A degree or HND is preferred.

Experience:

  • A robust commercial background in industrial products.
  • Proven success in a performance-driven CRM-based sales environment.
  • Understanding of the technical capabilities of products and the ability to effectively communicate their advantages.
  • Experience in new business development.
  • Knowledge of drive and motor applications would be beneficial.
