Childcare Support Specialist

Polaris Community seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Childcare Support Specialist to join our residential team at Bayview. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in one of our family-friendly children's homes in Heysham or rural North Lancaster, with a maximum of four young people per home. Our service requires individuals who are dedicated to supporting our ethos and helping guide young people towards success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a safe, secure, homely, and positive environment for the children and young adults in the home.
- Support in developing appropriate and high-quality care plans for each young person.
- Ensure adherence to legal requirements, Ofsted standards, and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Build constructive and trusting relationships with the children, ensuring a full understanding of their personal background and individual needs.
We offer a competitive salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, plus up to £6,720 in sleep-in payments (average of 6-8 sleep-ins per month at £70 per sleep-in). Other benefits include regular supervisions, company pension, access to our employee discount scheme, and comprehensive training programme.
Requirements- Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People or Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship within 2 years if not already possessed.
- Full UK driving license required.
