Refugee Support Specialist

At i-Jobs, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to fill the role of Refugee Resettlement Officer. This is a temporary position with a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced people in Cambridge and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and at least one other language, or possess the skills to effectively use translation services to communicate with speakers of other languages.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to act as the named point of contact between clients and statutory services for a minimum of 12 months. This involves assessing client needs and developing individual target support/action plans to ensure the best possible outcomes and empower clients to live independently.
Key responsibilities include providing targeted support to address specific problems, such as ensuring tenancy sustainability and resolving housing-related issues. Additionally, the successful candidate will develop positive relationships with local statutory, voluntary, and community organizations to facilitate client support.
The estimated salary for this role is £20,980 per annum, based on a 37-hour week and £10.49 per hour. We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects our commitment to attracting top talent in the industry.
