Family Support Coordinator

Role Overview
">This role is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families as they settle into their new community. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with local statutory, voluntary, and community organisations to provide targeted support and ensure that clients receive the help they need.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by refugees and asylum seekers, as well as the skills and experience required to develop effective support plans and build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide tailored support to address specific problems, such as ensuring tenancy sustainability and resolving housing-related issues.
- To establish and maintain strong partnerships with local organisations to enable clients to access necessary services.
- To stay informed about local initiatives and grant funding opportunities that can benefit clients.
- To identify and respond to safeguarding and domestic abuse cases, including completing referrals as required.
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to data protection procedures on case management systems.
- To coordinate initiatives that enhance clients' lives, including language skills development, employment, wellbeing, and awareness events.
- To assist in reporting Key Performance Indicators by gathering client feedback, supporting service improvement, and measuring impact.
- To prepare support plans and outcome reports, drawing on experience representing the organisation to internal and external stakeholders.
- To possess knowledge of local statutory, voluntary, and community organisations and how to access them.
- To assess adult and child support needs and create targeted support plans.
- To possess strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages or equivalent.
About You:
- A minimum of 2-3 months contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during normal office hours.
- An estimated salary of £19,960 - £20,980 per annum (£9.95-£10.30 per hour), depending on experience.
- A basic DBS disclosure requirement for this role.
- Multilingual applicants are desirable but not essential.
