This role as Head Chef offers a unique opportunity to work in a 5-star rated kitchen, designing menus that cater to diverse dietary needs. You will be part of a small but dynamic team, interacting with patients, families, and staff to ensure everyone is fed and happy.

Job Description

Salary: £26,574 per annum (plus 50% at weekends and bank holidays)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare nutritionally varied menus for our patients, families, and staff
  • Manage catering for corporate and fundraising events, showcasing your creative flair
  • Work closely with colleagues to accommodate special diets and ensure high-quality food production
  • Provide leadership to Catering Assistants and Cooks, promoting a positive and supportive team environment
  • Maintain high standards in all catering areas, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience managing a professional kitchen, with a basic Food Hygiene Certificate and relevant qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Flexibility to work early and/or late shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
