About the Opportunity

Draper Tools is a family business with a rich history, and we are seeking an exceptional Territory Sales Manager to join our team. As a key player in driving business performance, you will be responsible for establishing and developing relationships with prospects and customers within your designated area.

The ideal candidate will have previous sales experience in hand and power tools, with a proven track record of overachieving on targets. You will be able to build and maintain effective relationships, present and promote our products and services at all levels, and possess good IT skills, proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of programmes.

This role will involve daily travel to your customer base, so applicants must hold a full, valid Driver's License. We offer a competitive salary, commission plan, company car, holidays rising to 25 days, pension scheme, private health scheme, staff discount on Draper products, long service bonus, ad-hoc rewards and recognition, day off for your birthday, cycle to work scheme, and employee discount scheme.

Job Responsibilities
  • Establishing and developing relationships with prospects and customers within your designated area, taking responsibility for driving business performance and achievement of area sales targets.
  • Maintaining excellent standards of customer service with new and existing customers.
  • Developing business through telephone contact, written correspondence, face-to-face appointments, and attendance at exhibitions and shows.
  • Identifying customer requirements and maximising selling opportunities to develop the accounts within your area.
  • Planning and carrying out customer visits to a regular agreed schedule to ensure full coverage of your area.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous sales experience in hand and power tools.
  • Target driven with a proven track record of overachieving on targets.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Ability to present and promote our products and services at all levels.
  • Good IT skills, proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of programmes.
  • Methodical and highly organised.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

We estimate this role will come with a salary of around £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure includes benefits such as a company car, holidays, pension scheme, private health scheme, and other perks listed above.
