Job Title: Administration / Document Controller

This is a challenging role for an experienced Document Controller to join a principal contractor delivering a critical infrastructure upgrade to a live data centre in Gloucester.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Download all new project information to project key files and distribute to the team members.
  • Maintain key files with the latest revisions and recent documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Log and track all uploaded and returned documents, maintaining a record of progress.
  • Maintain live drawings, guaranteeing up-to-date visualizations.
  • Maintain the DC management system, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with multidiscipline design teams, subcontractors, and clients, fostering effective communication.
  • Distribute documents & drawings promptly to project personnel, meeting deadlines.
  • Adhere to company procedures & guidelines, ensuring compliance.
  • Perform quality checks on drawings and documents transmitted by lead consultants, verifying accuracy.
  • Manage document control software systems, providing training and support.
  • Maintain controlled document registers and associated documentation, maintaining order.
  • Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining documents such as drawings, specifications, approvals, and related items.
  • Work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Deal competently and dependably with complex and sensitive documents, maintaining confidentiality.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Document Controller within the industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry, including its principles and practices.
  • Excellent administration skills, with the ability to multitask and troubleshoot.
  • Proficiency in using Aconex or Q-Flow, with the ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of other IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
