About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients on the cardiac wards, including medication management, patient counseling, and education.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacist.
  • Experience in clinical pharmacy practice, preferably in a hospital setting.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a rotational shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
