## Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee the Purchase Ledger team at our Birkenhead facility. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for driving efficiency and accuracy in our financial controls.

## Key Responsibilities

* Supervise, train, and support the Purchase Ledger team to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment
* Process supplier invoices, expenses, proformas, supplier payments, and bank reconciliations
* Resolve complex queries efficiently and effectively to maintain strong supplier and internal relationships
* Reconcile Company Credit and Pre-Paid Cards, as well as process FOREX payments, ensuring all currency variances are accounted for and cleared from the ledgers
* Chase aged invoices internally to ensure timely supplier payments
* Oversee the reconciliation of bank statements and investigate discrepancies
* Enhance efficiency and accuracy in P2P activities through Process Improvement activities and develop standard operating procedures
* Prepare and present regular reports on activities and performance to the Purchase Ledger Manager
* Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, providing necessary documentation and analysis

## Requirements

* Strong leadership skills with experience as a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable specialist in a fast-paced business
* Organized and resilient under pressure, with confidence working with high volumes of data while maintaining accuracy
* Experience using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
* Drive and experience with Purchase ledger / Accounts Payable that enables you to identify, challenge, and recommend process improvements
* Strong focus on customer success
