Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Financial Assistant to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger function, ensuring timely and accurate payment runs, and providing administrative support to the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Purchase Ledger function, including processing supplier payments and ad-hoc payments
  • Administer the Purchase Ledger system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, including responding to queries and resolving issues
  • Assist with daily and monthly tasks to ensure the smooth running of the finance department

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of purchase ledger and accounting software
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and ideally AAT part-qualified
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
