Key Responsibilities- Deliver daily activities such as personal care, laundry, meal preparation, medication administration, and daily living skills.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the people we support, helping them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
- Take ownership of the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people we support, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of the people we support, identifying and mitigating risks to their health and well-being.
- Manage challenging behaviors and trauma in a calm and non-judgmental manner, using positive behavior support techniques.
- Help the people we support plan and achieve short- and long-term goals, including education, employment, and social activities.
- Assist with personal affairs, such as managing finances, making appointments, and attending medical appointments.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure the people we support receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and physical conditions.
- Strong knowledge of mental health theories, models, and interventions, including positive behavior support and trauma-informed care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
- Valid UK driving license (desirable).
