About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue growth and market share. This will involve leading and inspiring a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, managing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics, and liaising with legal advisors to resolve complex commercial legal issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales and marketing plan to drive revenue growth and market share.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Liaise with legal advisors to resolve complex commercial legal issues.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in a senior sales and marketing role, ideally within the engineering, defence, marine, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrable achievements against challenging sales targets and against sales cycles lasting several months.
  • Significant experience negotiating commercial contract terms on long-term, complex projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute data-driven sales and marketing plans.
