Catastrophe Risk Consultant

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our catastrophe risk management team in London. As a Catastrophe Risk Consultant, you will play a key role in helping us assess and mitigate potential risks associated with natural hazards.

About the Role:

  • As a senior member of our team, you will analyze data and models to predict potential losses and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • You will develop and implement strategies to minimize our exposure to catastrophic events.
  • You will work closely with our underwriting and actuarial teams to ensure that our risk assessments are accurate and up-to-date.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure the accuracy of our risk assessments.
  • You will develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and stakeholders to obtain data and insights.
  • You will stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of catastrophe risk management.

Requirements:

  • You hold a degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, physics, or engineering.
  • You have significant experience working in catastrophe risk management, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • You have expertise in data analysis, statistical modelling, and programming languages such as Python or R.
  • You have experience with catastrophe risk management software and tools.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
