Aon, the world's leading reinsurance intermediary and full-service capital advisor, is seeking an experienced Catastrophe Modeller to join its Analytics team in London. This role offers a competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package and 25 days holiday.
Job DescriptionThis position involves working closely with Aon's client teams to deliver catastrophe modelling and analytical support. As a Catastrophe Modeller, you will provide technical solutions in a digestible manner to both internal and external stakeholders at client meetings, presentations, market studies, tenders, and reports.
Catastrophe Modelling- Run natural catastrophe models to quantify the likelihood and severity of natural catastrophes for client renewals
- Undertake sensitivity testing to help clients understand the impact of data quality, data and modelling assumptions, and any planned portfolio change
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners to validate and create innovative solutions for the (re)insurance market
- Liaise and collaborate with other teams and offices worldwide
- Work closely with the model evaluation team to revise and challenge existing catastrophe models to deliver client views of risk that is more relevant to their business
- Contribute to the development of new Impact Forecasting models
