We are partnering with a leading international insurer to find a strategic lead for their Catastrophe Risk team. This role offers the chance to define industry-leading practices in catastrophe modelling, analytics, and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a global team focused on natural catastrophe and terror modelling.
  • Collaborate with risk leadership to shape vision and strategy.
  • Mentor and develop team members while driving impactful research projects.
  • Present insights to third-party capital partners and represent the organisation at industry events.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading technical teams.
  • Advanced degree (Masters) in a scientific field.
  • Deep knowledge of catastrophe reinsurance and modelling.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in R, Python, SQL.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 based on industry standards and market conditions.
