As a Field Clinical Manager for Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies, you'll play a critical role in driving procedural success, directing daily operations, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure therapy adoption, safe patient outcomes, and meaningful device iteration feedback.

A Day in the Life

As a Field Clinical Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and directing the daily operations of the Therapy Development team for clinical trial case support.
  • Monitoring, guiding, and coaching remote direct reports to achieve enrolment targets, improve skills and productivity, and build sustainable customer relationships.
  • Partnering with cross-functional leaders to ensure adequate ancillary case support availability, delivery of industry-leading physician training in accordance with local regulations, support of on-site training/in-servicing for local hospital physicians, nurses, techs, and staff.
  • Assisting in budget management, forecast creation, achieving revenue and expense goals.
  • Partnering with Clinical, Quality, and the field team to ensure customer and device complaints are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with Medical Education function to ensure the field team follows procedural best practices, are current on all imaging modalities (echo, CT, angiography), receive training on current and future device iterations, and stay up to date on relevant published data for both Medtronic and its competitors.
  • Performing field evaluations and providing ongoing constructive feedback to improve individual performance.
  • Managing corporate resources, including demo product, simulators, and imaging equipment, directing allocation of those resources and team members globally.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Engineering, Life-Science, Marketing, Business Administration, Biology, or another advanced degree.
  • Excellent influencing and consulting skills.
  • Ability to manage in a remote self-structured environment.
  • Experience developing and managing an operational budget.
  • Previous direct people management experience.
  • Ability to travel with overnight stays up to 75% of the time (geography variability).
