Job Summary

Complementary Therapy Coordinator

Job Type: Part Time

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Location: Remote with regular travel to hospice bases

Job Description:

  • Coordinate and develop the Complementary Therapy service to provide high-quality care for patients and carers.
  • Collaborate with other therapy coordinators to achieve service goals.
  • Work with the Wellbeing Therapies Manager to review and evaluate therapy delivery to hospice patients.
  • Develop the profile of complementary therapy within palliative care.
  • Recruit, train, and upskill therapy volunteers.
  • Support bank therapists and provide advice to clinical teams.
  • Promote understanding of complementary therapies and referral criteria internally and externally.
  • Attend clinical team meetings, including nursing.
  • Supervise therapy volunteers and manage caseloads.
  • Carry out assessments and allocate referrals to therapy volunteers.
