Job Title: Academic Engagement Manager

Legal & General is a leading financial services group and major global investor, seeking a highly skilled Academic Engagement Manager to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual to develop and maintain exceptional relationships with clients, providing high-level technical support and sales support. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and coordinating the successful resolution of client enquiries, liaising with experts across the business, and identifying business opportunities and threats.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with clients, providing high-level technical support and sales support.
  2. Own and coordinate the successful resolution of client enquiries, liaising with experts across the business.
  3. Identify business opportunities and threats, providing recommendations to improve client relationships and drive business growth.
  4. Prepare meeting packs for client meetings and new business pitches, ensuring all necessary information is presented in a clear and concise manner.
  5. Attend meetings and conference calls as required, taking sole responsibility for audit and operational meetings when opportunities arise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A strong academic background, preferably with a 2.1 degree or equivalent, and the IMC qualification.
  2. Experience within the investment management industry, including providing exceptional client service and sales support.
  3. Demonstrable track record of dealing with external clients and building significant relationships with external contacts up to and including senior levels.
  4. Institutional client experience, with a strong understanding of the different investment vehicle options.
  5. Strong workflow management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Good negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
