As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of all mechanical plant and equipment installation, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of equipment and materials to site.

You will process isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements and issue construction packages to installation supervisors, including approved RAMS, permits, and lifting plans. Additionally, you will support the development of lookaheads based on the programme and milestones, coordinate plant and equipment installation, and ensure all scaffolding and tools are readily available.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating mechanical plant and equipment installation
  • Processing isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements
  • Issuing construction packages to installation supervisors
  • Supporting the development of lookaheads based on the programme and milestones
  • Coordinating plant and equipment installation
  • Ensuring all scaffolding and tools are readily available

Requirements:

  • Experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on construction projects
  • Previous experience of project delivery on a nuclear licensed site
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (minimum HNC)
  • Good knowledge of mechanical engineering practices and ability to follow drawings and specifications
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Holder of a valid competency card
  • Proven ability to manage a small team of supervisors, blue collar ops, and sub-contractors
