Mechanical Construction Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Construction Engineer to join our team at Sellafield in West Cumbria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of mechanical plant and equipment installation, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of equipment and materials to site. This will involve processing isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements, issuing construction packages to installation supervisors, and reviewing and reporting weekly progress against the programme.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS- Proven experience in mechanical engineering roles on construction projects.
- Previous experience of project delivery on a nuclear licensed site.
- Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (minimum HNC).
- Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering practices and ability to follow drawings and specifications.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Holder of a valid competency card.
- Proven ability to manage a small team of supervisors and blue-collar operatives and sub-contractors.
- Experience of Sellafield procedures is an advantage.
- Previous experience of working with Shield Doors, Gamma gates, and Kuka robot equipment is an advantage.
- Previous experience working on the installation of bogey & rail systems in a nuclear environment is an advantage.
- Previous experience of working with and on EOTC Cranes is an advantage.
- Proficiency in relevant Microsoft Office packages.
- Security Clearance will be required for this role. Candidates must be eligible for security clearance, if not already held. This includes British Citizenship and not having worked outside the UK for the past 5 years.
