Job Title: Construction Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the installation of mechanical plant and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of equipment and materials to site.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate the installation of mechanical plant and equipment, including sub-contract activities.
  2. Process isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements and issue construction packages to installation supervisors.
  3. Coordinate plant and equipment installation, ensuring all scaffolding and tools are readily available.
  4. Review and report weekly progress against the programme with the M, E & I Installation Manager.

Requirements:

  1. Experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on construction projects.
  2. Previous experience of project delivery on a nuclear licensed site.
  3. Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (minimum HNC).
  4. Good knowledge of Mech Engineering practices and ability to follow drawings and specifications.
  5. Proven ability to manage a small team of supervisors and blue collar ops and sub-contractors.
