Job Title: Construction Project Engineer

Job Summary:

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a skilled Construction Project Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the installation of mechanical plant and equipment on a nuclear licensed site in West Cumbria.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate the installation of mechanical plant and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to site.
  2. Process isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements and issue construction packages to installation supervisors.
  3. Coordinate plant and equipment installation, including sub-contract activities and ensure all scaffolding and tools are readily available.
  4. Review and report weekly progress against the programme with the M, E & I Installation Manager.

Requirements:

  1. Experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on construction projects.
  2. Previous experience of project delivery on a nuclear licensed site.
  3. Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (minimum HNC).
  4. Good knowledge of Mech Engineering practices and ability to follow drawings and specifications.
  5. Proven ability to manage a small team of supervisors and blue collar ops and sub-contractors.
