Pastoral Support Professional

We are seeking a committed individual to deliver high-quality support to learners facing pastoral and behavioural challenges, particularly those with SEMH needs.
About the JobThis is a temporary, full-time position starting as soon as possible. The focus will be on promoting positive behaviour both inside and outside the classroom, reducing disruptions, and providing emotional support to enhance resilience and participation.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver effective pastoral support to individual students or small groups who find it difficult to engage in learning, both within and outside the classroom.
- Provide guidance and support for students with low-level mental health, behavioural, and additional needs, including those struggling to settle into college.
- Collaborate with teachers, Progress Tutors, Learning Support, and the Safeguarding team to share information and signpost appropriate services.
- Record all support provided to students using college systems.
- Participate in college-wide duties, such as meet and greet, lunchtime supervision, enrolment, well-being activities, and exam access arrangements.
The successful candidate will require a Current DBS. This role is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
Salary DetailsThe rate of pay for this role is £160 per day.
LocationThis role is based in Greater Manchester.
