Senior Pastoral Support Specialist

About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Pastoral Support Specialist to join our team at CHS South on a Fixed Term contract for 12 months. The role involves working closely with the Pastoral Leader to provide exceptional support and guidance to an identified year group of students.
Main Responsibilities- To address attendance, behavioural, pastoral and welfare issues, supporting the Pastoral Leader in addressing the needs of pupils who require help to overcome barriers to learning.
- To work collaboratively with all school staff and external support agencies in order to support student wellbeing across the school.
- To take a lead role in the supervision of the school, supporting all staff in maintaining a positive learning environment with high expectations.
- Part of this role will involve managing our Restore room, which is our internal isolation room.
Apart from other colleagues in the school, the main contacts of the job are: Head Teacher, Senior Leaders, Pastoral Leader, teaching staff, other support staff and pupils.

The estimated salary for this role is £24,294 per annum (pro rata), based on a full-time equivalent of £30,424.
