About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Pastoral Support Specialist to join our team at CHS South on a Fixed Term contract for 12 months. The role involves working closely with the Pastoral Leader to provide exceptional support and guidance to an identified year group of students.

Main Responsibilities
  • To address attendance, behavioural, pastoral and welfare issues, supporting the Pastoral Leader in addressing the needs of pupils who require help to overcome barriers to learning.
  • To work collaboratively with all school staff and external support agencies in order to support student wellbeing across the school.
  • To take a lead role in the supervision of the school, supporting all staff in maintaining a positive learning environment with high expectations.
  • Part of this role will involve managing our Restore room, which is our internal isolation room.
Key Relationships

Apart from other colleagues in the school, the main contacts of the job are: Head Teacher, Senior Leaders, Pastoral Leader, teaching staff, other support staff and pupils.

The estimated salary for this role is £24,294 per annum (pro rata), based on a full-time equivalent of £30,424.
