Education and Pastoral Care Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastoral Learning Support Officer to join our Student Support and Foundation Learning Department at The Manchester College. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and developing the personal, social and health education of students who require pastoral support.
This includes identifying and addressing 'at risk' indicators, developing and implementing targeted interventions, and working closely with internal and external support agencies to ensure student success.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics or equivalent, along with a qualified level 3 degree in Education, Social Care, Mentoring, Youth Work, Counselling or Advice & Guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support to learners in an educational setting, preferably FE / HE.
- Building strong relationships with students aged 16+ and their families to address academic and personal needs.
- Developing and implementing data-driven interventions to improve attendance and engagement.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on student progress.
