Senior Welfare Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to lead our welfare team and provide exceptional pastoral care to students. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the Welfare Manager and other team members.

About the Job:
  • Leads the welfare team to ensure high standards of pastoral care.
  • Works closely with the Welfare Manager to provide guidance and support.
  • Maintains accurate medical records and handles unwell students.
  • Sustains a clean and tidy environment, collaborating with Housekeeping as necessary.
  • Supports students during meal times, free time, and nighttime supervision duties.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensures each student's dietary and religious needs are met.
  2. Carrries out administrative tasks for medicine training and first aid.
  3. Supervises mealtimes on a rota basis and completes regular headcounts.
  4. Collaborates with the team to maintain safety and security within accommodation.
  5. Familiarizes themselves with BSC Safeguarding Policies and adheres to them.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and teenagers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Welfare Leader or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work hard.
  • Right to work in the UK or EU (depending on the centre).
