About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Healthcare Manager to join our team at The Duke of York's Royal Military School. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires operational hours during term-time and collaboration with partner agencies to ensure continuity of healthcare services.

The successful candidate will oversee a multidisciplinary team comprising nurses, administrators, and medical retainers to deliver comprehensive health and wellbeing services to approximately 500 full-time boarding students. These services include emergency response, support for students managing long-term conditions, emotional well-being, treatment of minor illnesses, and facilitating the return to sports following accidents or injuries.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality health and wellbeing services to students.
  • Develop and implement care programs for students with complex health needs.
  • Liaise with local GP services, manage complaints effectively, and ensure compliance with data protection and health regulations.
  • Manage resources efficiently, ensure quality assurance, and address incidents promptly.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £48,182 per annum, based on the starting salary of DYR 10.45 (£40,660 pro rata). We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
