School Support Worker

The Duke of York's Royal Military School is a leading independent boarding school that provides a unique educational experience for its students. We are seeking an experienced School Support Worker to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care and education to our students. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and make a positive impact on the lives of young people.
In this role, you will work closely with Housemaster/Mistress on student welfare and major issues. You will be responsible for supervising students during work hours, ensuring cleanliness, punctuality, and appropriate behaviour. Additionally, you will accompany students to meals and supervise as per House requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
• Liaising with Housemaster/Mistress on student welfare and major issues.
• Supervising students during work hours, ensuring cleanliness, punctuality, and appropriate behaviour.
• Accompanying students to meals and supervising as per House requirements.
• Supporting Tutor and House Parent in academic, behaviour, and overall student progress.
• Administering medication and basic first aid, referring students to Medical Centre when necessary.
• Assisting in organising social, sporting, and other House activities.
• Ensuring compliance with School policies and National Minimum Boarding Standards.
Benefits and Training
• A competitive starting salary of £22,186 (FTE—DOYRMS Band 3) - Pro Rata £16,739 per annum.
• 36.39 hours per week, working a shift rota over 7 days a week.
