Children and Young People Mental Health Practitioner

As a trainee cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, you will play a vital role in our Children and Young People's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (CYP-IAPT). Your primary responsibility will be to provide CBT interventions under supervision, using evidence-based principles to improve mental health outcomes for young people.
You will work closely with our experienced team, participating in peer supervision and receiving guidance from service supervisors. As part of your training, you will also attend Derby University 2 days per week, completing coursework and attending lectures as part of your Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Key qualifications include a psychology-related undergraduate degree, or completion of a KSA assessment. A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people is essential, preferably within CAMHS. You should be able to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and be committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
